William Hayashi

William Hayashi is a five-decade veteran of the information technologies industry, having started his own consultancy nearly forty years ago. He has been an on-air radio personality, off and on, since 1976. He is currently the host of the Genesis Science Fiction Radio Show, with over eight years of shows available for listening online or download. The shows consist of interviews of creatives of color in science fiction, fantasy, and horror covering every imaginable medium. 

Hayashi is also an international award winning screenwriter whose first four scripts were filmed and produced. He has served in many roles behind the camera in production and script doctoring

His introduction to writing began with the first installment of his Darkside Trilogy, published in 2009 and continues with the Archangel-X Trilogy. Hayashi’s short stories and novels have garnered critical acclaim, many incorporating themes of social justice rooted in the issues facing people of color living in the United States. Currently, several of his novels are in development for adaptation to television.

Hayashi has spent a lifetime in the service of providing computer literacy to children and adults in under served communities through the construction and maintenance of computer learning centers in community centers, churches, and schools. As Board Chair of Cabrini Green Youth and Family Services, in 2001 he was honored by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services for bringing Best Business Practices to the social service agency model, providing the organizational and financial example the State of Illinois recommended state supported social service agencies emulate.

Quarantine is his latest addition to the Scifi series he has written, Book 1 of the Archangel-X Trilogy and has been published by CMP.
