Lauren Marie Galley is an Award Winning Teen Mentor. She is also an Amazon Best Selling Author, actress/model, and President of the non-profit organization Girls Above Society. GAS empowers tween and teen girls to be confident while maintaining positive morals and values. Girls face the tough pressures of today’s media-driven society. GAS is the home of “Girl Talk”, a signature program led by Lauren. It builds confidence and leadership skills every young girl needs to become an excellent role model in their community. 

Lauren travels throughout the U.S., speaking on body image, leadership skills, and self-confidence. She is a contributor to the Huffington Post. Lauren can also be seen featured in her very own section titled TEEN TAKE in Houston Family Magazine. Her latest achievement is her TEDxTomball Talk 2014 titled #TextMe – The Elimination of Human Interaction. Lauren’s Ambassadorship with Secret Deodorant’s Mean Stinks Campaign in conjunction with Teen Vogue has given her a powerful platform. She continues to empower girls to end the girl-on-girl bullying for good. 

As a voice to young teen girls, Lauren reaches across the globe with her show, “The Lauren Galley Show.” It is on BlogTalkRadio along with her #BeThatGirl Series, one of 8 channels on Vimeo. Lauren has been featured on Fox News, Teen Vogue, Best Ever You Radio, and Talented Teens broadcast in the U.K. Her writing has appeared in numerous publications throughout the U.S. These include Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, International Talent Magazine, Talented Teens, BeYOU Magazine and Babble. She covers the issues and pressures young teens are facing in today’s society.

Lauren lives in Texas, where she attended Sam Houston State University and studied Psychology. She is proud to be an Alpha Delta Pi sister.  Her latest honors include the Student Excellence Award for Service 2013 and 2014 and the Spirit Award, given by Susan L. Curtis Foundation. The Spirit Award honors an individual who has directly impacted the campers of Camp Susan Curtis in Maine.
