Lead Editor – Shelley Mascia

Shelley Mascia has loved the literary world since she was a young girl. Her passion for writing started in elementary school. She would write stories for her classmates and act them out during recess.

She began honing her literary skills in high school and college. There, she wrote articles, created content, and edited the school newspaper and literary magazines. She was also the Public Relations Liaison for the college radio station. Shelley graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and Public Relations.
Before becoming the in-house editor for Cosby Media Productions, she was an editorial assistant on Long Island, NY, for “The Pennysaver.” Afterward, she got married to her college sweetheart and moved to Maryland. Then, she worked as a journalist (fulfilling a childhood dream), taught in the public school system, and proofread for a junk mail company. She occasionally explores her passion as a wedding planner.

Awards

She received the Windom Editor’s Choice Award in 2017 and 2018. She is one of the recommended editors for the Independence Authors Book Experience, held annually in New Jersey. Her clients can be found on Amazon and Goodreads.
She is the Editor in Chief for her own editing company, Shelley’s Editing Service, and has recently partnered with CMP to assist with editing and project acquisitions. When she is not editing, she can be found digging in her garden, chasing her two young children around, and traveling in the summer. One day, she hopes to visit all the birthplaces of her literary heroes.
You can follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
