Menzuo 5: Friend or Foe
by Keshawn Dodds
WHEN FAMILY BECOMES THE ENEMY, LOVE IS THE ONLY WEAPON STRONG ENOUGH TO SAVE THEM.
Prince Menzuo faces his most personal battle yet when his youngest brother Denshuo returns—not as the kidnapped child from three years ago, but as a fully grown warrior possessed by the evil Lord Fetid and wielding a deadly energy-draining touch.
Accompanied by Enchantress Nightshade—daughter of the fallen Queen Eaizah and master of mind-controlling sorcery—Denshuo unleashes coordinated attacks on Earth. Meanwhile, Doctor Osgood has been experimenting with Pirate Drone DNA to create an army of mutated giants, forming a terrifying alliance between planetary threats.
The Solar Warriors team—Menzuo, Solar, Allucio, Desmurose, King Scoop, and Wyler—must evacuate Springfield while fighting on multiple fronts. When Nightshade captures their families and forces an impossible choice, King Scoop and Wyler execute a secret suicide mission to destroy the “unkillable” Enchantress, sacrificing themselves to give Menzuo his chance.
Unlocking a legendary God-level power that could kill him, Menzuo transforms with white armor and blue flames—reaching abilities no warrior has survived. In a stunning climax, he purifies rather than kills Denshuo, extracting the Excervian poison and saving his brother’s soul, though Denshuo emerges with amnesia and years of stolen childhood.
But victory is bittersweet. Nightshade survives and follows them to planet Yardania, where she murders King Zenshuo before Princess Amiata—mysteriously returned with reality-bending powers from Master Infinity—finally destroys her. The team discovers Scoop and Wyler aren’t dead but taken by Master Infinity for an unknown purpose.
The aftermath reshapes everything: Solar becomes the reluctant King of Yardania, ending his role as Menzuo’s guardian. Prince Denshuo chooses exile after learning the unkillable Pirate Havoc implanted tracking DNA in him. Princess Amiata can now see across realms and thirty seconds into the future, but warns that Havoc will return stronger, Nightshade’s essence may regenerate on Excervo, and the war continues.
Menzuo: Friend of Foe explores family bonds, impossible moral choices, and the cost of heroism—where the greatest victories demand the ultimate sacrifice.
